Opus is an evaluation technique in which the feedback giver sorts cards with pre-printed statements into four different sections of a box, allowing them to quickly express their opinion. <\/p>\n
The Opus technique was born from a consumer survey applied by the Swedish company TerraFirma AB.<\/p>\n
An overwhelming 92 percent of respondents voluntarily answer TerraFirma AB’s questions, which has partly to do with the ease of use of the system as well as the fact that Opus is simply fun to use.<\/p>\n
Approximately 100 cards contain statements on the topic under investigation, on which feedback is requested. The participant now reads each card and places it in a section of the answer box according to his opinion. The sections of the answer box are titled “I agree,” “I partially agree,” “I disagree,” and “no opinion.”<\/p>\n
You can run Opus with any number of participants, each working in turn with the cards and box, and get a good sense of how your idea or product is likely to be received.<\/p>\n
