{"id":50567,"date":"2023-08-17T07:52:05","date_gmt":"2023-08-17T07:52:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.innovation.wiki\/method\/opus-method\/"},"modified":"2023-08-17T07:52:05","modified_gmt":"2023-08-17T07:52:05","slug":"opus-method","status":"publish","type":"methode","link":"https:\/\/www.innovation.wiki\/en\/method\/opus-method\/","title":{"rendered":"Opus Method"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Opus is an evaluation technique in which the feedback giver sorts cards with pre-printed statements into four different sections of a box, allowing them to quickly express their opinion.  <\/p>\n<p>The Opus technique was born from a consumer survey applied by the Swedish company TerraFirma AB.<\/p>\n<p>An overwhelming 92 percent of respondents voluntarily answer TerraFirma AB&#8217;s questions, which has partly to do with the ease of use of the system as well as the fact that Opus is simply fun to use.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately 100 cards contain statements on the topic under investigation, on which feedback is requested. The participant now reads each card and places it in a section of the answer box according to his opinion. The sections of the answer box are titled &#8220;I agree,&#8221; &#8220;I partially agree,&#8221; &#8220;I disagree,&#8221; and &#8220;no opinion.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You can run Opus with any number of participants, each working in turn with the cards and box, and get a good sense of how your idea or product is likely to be received.<\/p>\n<p>The technique Opus is included in Michael Michalko&#8217;s book &#8220;thinkertoys&#8221; in the chapter &#8220;Murder Board&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Opus is an evaluation technique in which the feedback giver sorts cards with pre-printed statements into four different sections of a box, allowing them to quickly express their opinion.
