Often the first reaction to change is internal resistance. The chart shows the most common reasons for resistance.  <\/p>\n<p>Essentially, there are 3 types of resistance here:<br \/>\n&#8211; Factual fears (the largest share of fears) &#8211; in this is the concern that a wrong decision will be made and the action will have disadvantages for the company or the area.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Personal fears &#8211; therein lies the concern &#8220;Will I actually still be needed in the new world with my skills?&#8221; or &#8220;Can I even acquire the necessary skills?&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8211; Power- and self-interest-driven resistance &#8211; here it is a matter of retaining privileges, securing resources<\/p>\n<p>Guiding questions for working through the resistances:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; &#8220;How can we understand what kind of resistance we are talking about?&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8211; &#8220;What course of action would increase resistance?&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8211; &#8220;What course of action might reduce resistance?&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>People do not usually look positively at change.
