The BBB method (Battelle Picture Portfolio Brainwriting) is an idea generation technique developed at the Battelle Institute.

It represents a combination of classic brainstorming and visual synectics. The technique uses image folders to mentally detach from a given problem. Spontaneous associations to the image material are used to capture new approaches to solutions. Later, they jointly evaluate the extent to which the solution ideas are sustainable.
