The concept linking map connects and combines complementary ideas into clusters of ideas and more complex solutions. Ideas typically created in classic ideation sessions almost always address only a very specific aspect of the underlying larger challenge. The concept linking map can be used to find more complex and higher quality integrated solutions to a problem.

This method uses a rating system that is then transformed into a holistic overall visual system. The Concept Linking Map works similarly to the Concept Evaluation Map, but it is slightly more visual, faster, and more intuitive.
