Extreme User Interview

The goal of the Extreme User Interview method is to develop new approaches to solutions through the targeted inclusion of “unusual users” in the development process. The result that is the focus of development can concern any area of innovation: Services, products, processes or business models.

The process involves people through interviews and feedback sessions who have a very high intersection with the potential innovation and/or have very high subject matter expertise, as well as those who are considered very unusual and therefore would be left out of “normal interviews” as not central to the development. For these individuals, there is no intersection with the focused topic.

These extreme users can also reveal new market access opportunities through completely new impulses and entirely different application scenarios (use cases) and perspectives.

Registered users will find a detailed description of how to use the method in a meeting or workshop context in the next section. Registration is free of charge.
