The Design Innovation Process is a Design Thinking dialect or variant developed by Vijar Kumar. Kumar provides a very understandable step-by-step structure and macro process for an innovation project with this method.
This method knows seven fields of work, which can and should be run through antilinear and iterative like Design Thinking.
The fields of work are:
1. detection of the target corridor (sense intent)
2. understanding the environment (Know Context)
3. understanding people (Know People)
4. structuring the insights (frame insights)
5. discovering new concepts (Explore Concepts)
6. creating concept solution clusters (frame solutions)
7. realization of the new offers (Realize Offerings)
The Design Innovation Process is also a customer- and human-centered innovation process.
