BrainStation is a technique in which individual groups develop ideas in parallel on changing questions at separate group workstations. The method is a variant of brainwalking.

The structure of a BrainStation scenario can be very different. It is important to create separate areas from each other where participants can

can work undisturbed. These can be boxes, tents or even rooms.

The work areas are large enough to accommodate individual groups and are equipped with flipcharts, sufficient paper and writing utensils. Ideal group sizes are five to eight people. For clarity, the work areas should be numbered consecutively.

One question is required per workstation/station, for which sufficient ideas can be produced in a few minutes. During the execution of this technique, the question is changed after a given time interval, so that each group has developed ideas once for each question.

To illustrate the questions and reinforce the inspiration, the individual stations can be decorated according to the theme.
