Graphic Recording refers to the visual/drawing accompaniment of workshops, meetings, conventions, conferences and major events.

The Graphic Recorder (or Visual Facilitator) tracks the spoken words and converts them into images, drawn text and symbols in real time. In doing so, the drawing takes a form of documentation without actively intervening in the process. As a rule, painting-like large-scale images are created in the course, which have great symbolic power.

Within workshops and meetings, the drawings often act as a mirror and thus have a passive influence on the discussions within the group. Drawn summaries help structure, focus, and identify key messages. In this context, Visual Recordings can definitely be called a source of inspiration.

Visualizer David Sibbet says he helps people “see what they mean.”
