In general, an evaluation of a multitude of ideas is not a good idea. It only knows two results: Good or bad. With most ideas, however, I can’t even conclusively assess the potential at the beginning. That’s why we always recommend in our Innovation Professional training: First filter then evaluate! Where is the difference? When filtering, I use clearly defined criteria to decide whether an idea makes it to the next round. All filtered-out ideas remain visible and can be reintegrated into the next rounds of ideas.
