By changing perspectives, the dilemma diagram facilitates decision-making in situations where two or more equally valid options or ideas are available. The method works well with groups up to a maximum of ten people and can be done in 30 to 45 minutes.

A dilemma is a situation in which we have a choice between (usually two) mutually exclusive options or ideas, each option having advantages and disadvantages. The basic idea is that in this case only a change of perspective can bring a solution.
