With the macro method FRIES, innovations and innovation successes can be planned and optimized in a targeted and transparent manner. The innovation culture index provides a basic statement on the degree of establishment of the innovation culture. Innovation success and new ideas can be planned with FRIES. FRIES’ defined process ensures that the right steps are taken in the right order.

In addition, FRIES ensures that the culture of innovation functions according to the same system throughout your entire company, regardless of time and place. With the key figures, the solution of the problems and issues can be planned in advance and permanently controlled and measured during the course. With FRIES, innovation becomes a living part of the company and demystified.

A consistent approach to brainstorming and implementing your innovation culture will help you identify the successes or failures more quickly. Experiences can be better shared among participating teams, departments and/or profit centers. With manageable effort, a wide variety of innovators, teams and departments can be controlled by a single person in charge. A uniform reporting system (audits) also ensures a streamlined organization. Ideas with little chance of success are identified more quickly, and implementation costs can be reduced.

Reduced to its essentials, the FRIES method and the associated process consist of four phases or steps:

“FReeSpace”
In this phase, the innovation carriers and innovators are sought out and supported with freedom, and the targets and challenges are identified whose solution and idea generation are to move the company forward.

“Ideas”
This phase represents the actual idea generation, creative meetings and creativity techniques.

“Evaluation”
Since it is important to separate the actual idea generation from the idea evaluation, FRIES also has the idea evaluation as a separate phase.

“Selfawareness”
In order to not only light a flash in the pan, but to sustainably introduce an innovative environment and culture, the successes, i.e. the targets solved and ideas implemented, must be communicated to all participants and stakeholders of the company. This is the main task of phase 4.
