Moodboards take place in the innovation area in the Ideation, Early Prototyping and Testing phases. You can also find mood boards in communication and design sciences, among others. In the style of a large collage, images, texts, articles, materials, statements, and even video sequences or objects are brought together in a way that can be experienced by the senses.

Moodboards therefore represent complex facts and findings that could not be described in this way. The mood boards should always be in the (visible) vicinity of the project team, especially in the exploration and ideation phase, in order to serve as a source of inspiration and to be able to be supplemented at any time. The focus is always on mapping the environment and the perspectives of customer or user groups.
