Store Out

Free creative method for visual Structuring thoughts.

“I really need to vent!” – behind this sentence is usually a head full of thoughts, concerns and ideas for which you are looking for an outlet. Using save-out as a method gives the project team a free framework for exactly this need. In digital transformation, this is an efficient way to tease out unbiased impressions and statements from the team. The moderator engages in a free format and gives the team free rein to associate. It can be flexible and/or targeted to specific statements, directing the exchange toward a specific goal. Or she assigns the impressions and ideas from the team to certain categories during the memorization process. The saving out is particularly profitable when teams with a diverse structure come together (age, experience, know-how, hierarchies, specialist areas). It can be used at any stage in the project, but is particularly useful in concept or crisis phases, for example, when the team is unable to decide how to proceed with a particular topic or feels blocked due to differing opinions and ideas. The use of memorization can also be a useful tool for team culture. Participants feel less hemmed in by a freer method and provide statements that may at first glance seem off-topic, but often provide more background and depth for conceptual progress. However, it is all the more important that the moderator is very concentrated and focused on the task at hand, thinks along with the team and reacts flexibly to what is delivered when the team is storing out. This unleashes an open thought process among employees. Thus, memorizing is a creative method that involves the facilitator. Anything goes!
