Using psychosynthesis, you can generate your own spiritual advisor to consult when you face an innovative challenge.
Random patterns like clouds seem meaningless to us at first. However, once we have assigned a name to the pattern or recognized an image in it, it seems almost impossible to look again and ignore the perception once gained in the process.
Once we have named something, this changes our perception of the object and we associate expectations with it.
This is exactly how we can deal with images of our subconscious. This involves naming or personifying irregular schemes in our subconscious – and this technique is called psychosynthesis. Quite a number of famous geniuses, visionaries, artists and innovators have used this technique throughout the centuries. Among them are Douglas MacArthur, Mozart, Buckminster Fuller and Milton. By creating an inner counterpart and dialoguing with the invented consultant, the creative minds practiced retrieving information from their subconscious.
You can create a spiritual advisor for yourself: close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and imagine an old woman or man whose kindly features express a deep love for you. If you do not succeed directly, start by imagining a candle flame from which a face slowly emerges. Have a conversation with that person and develop a relationship with them over time.
